Knowledge is not capability: the missing link in L&D

The knowledge illusion

How many leaders in your company know that "giving feedback is important"? Probably 100%. How many give feedback consistently, effectively and at the right moment? Probably less than 20%.

The 4 stages most programs miss

1. Knowledge - Well covered by traditional L&D

2. Intention - Partially covered (depends on individual motivation)

3. Action - Almost never systematically supported

4. Capability - Rarely measured with behavioral evidence
